Each Sunday we gather at our church campus, located at the corner of 55th St. and Harvard Ave., half a mile south of I-44 in the heart of greater Tulsa.

What to Expect

We want your experience with Woodland Acres a great one, so we’re constantly looking for ways to take the difficulty out of visiting church for the first time. When you visit, you are our honored guest.

How should I dress?
Some people dress up, but most people choose to dress casual. We just encourage you to be yourself, so come the way that you feel most comfortable.

What is worship like?
We have two worship services. The Bridge is our contemporary worship service that meets at 8:30am in the Family Life Center. It’s an interactive, participatory experience of worship, as you’ll hear and sing along to popular contemporary praise and worship songs, see inspiring videos, and engage in prayer. Our traditional worship service meets at 10:50am in the Sanctuary. It’s a moving, powerful experience of worship, as you’ll hear and sing along to a rich legacy of hymns and songs. The purpose of both worship services is to assist you to encounter the living God who can transform your life.

What about the offering?
Each week we provide a time to respond to God through the offering. Our first offering is to be our own lives and hearts. As a guest, we encourage you to fill out a Connection Card and indicate your response to God. Use the Connection Card to tell us about your prayer request, your decision today, or the things about which you would like more information. Just turn the Connection Card in as your offering. There is no pressure to make a financial gift. Financial offerings at Woodland Acres are freewill offerings. As our members thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives, they support the ministry of our church financially. This act of worship gives Woodland Acres the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.

What is the message (sermon) like?
Every Sunday, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on the Bible and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life.  We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.

What do I do with my kids?

We provide a safe, loving environment for all children. All of our childcare workers have passed a background check. During either worship service, the little ones (birth - age 4) can go to Extended Teaching Care. We have Sunday School for all ages. During our traditional worship service, kids (K – grade 3) can attend Children’s Church.

New Connections Class

Senior Pastor David Rhoades leads this class for people interested in learning more about our church family. There is no cost to attend. He will answer any questions you may have about our beliefs, our vision, our ministries, and how you can become a part of our church family. Childcare and student ministries will be provided at this time. To find out more or sign up, just contact the church office and let us know you how many people will attend.
