Kevin Willis – Minister Of Music
Kevin Willis was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and grew up as a member of First Baptist Church of Tahlequah. His parents took him to church every week. One of his greatest spiritual leaders was his Grandfather, Ernie Lawrence. Kevin accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and continued to grow throughout his childhood.
Kevin graduated from Northeastern State University in 1997 where he got his Bachelors of Science degree in education. It was during college that he began serving as a bi-vocational music minister at Shiloh Baptist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
In the fall of 1996, Kevin met the love of his life, Sarah. Kevin and Sarah have three children: Garrett (11), Gracie (8), and Grant (6).
In the summer of 1998 Kevin began serving as the BCM Director at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. Kevin taught math and science and led the collegiate ministries at Connors for the next four years. During his time in Warner he began serving at Immanuel Baptist Church in Muskogee where he served for 3 years.
In 2000 Kevin accepted the music ministry position at Timothy Baptist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He served there for the next three years. While at Timothy he had the opportunity to see over 300 people come to Christ during the weekly worship services.
In 2003 Kevin took his first fulltime music ministry position when he accepted the call to Trinity Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma as the Minister of Music and Media. He served at Trinity for 6 years.
Kevin began serving at Woodland Acres Baptist Church in September, 2009.
When Kevin isn’t working, you’re likely to find him playing tennis or golf, fishing or just hanging out with the family.
