Carol Ellis - Administrative Assistant
Pastor David Rhoades
Carol Ellis came to Woodland Acres in April of 2002. She became the Administrative Assistant in July, 2008. Carol was born in Texas and is a 5th generation Baptist. Carol has a background in graphic design, business management and ownership, and computer applications. She has been active in previous church roles as Personnel Board, Search Committee, Adult Senior President, Properties Committees, and more.
Carol takes care of a very busy church office. She assists the ministerial and business staff in their administrative responsibilities, and takes care of the church database, publications, receptionist, and general administrative responsibilities of the church. As Desktop Publisher, Carol's responsibilities include preparing Sunday bulletins, prayer sheets, posters, the Messenger newsletter, and departmental and ministry information.
Carol has a varied interest in genealogy, has won awards as a professional watercolorist and has served on non-profit boards. Carol graduated from Rice Business College, Charleston, South Carolina, and attended a variety of college classes through the years. She taught graphic design for five years at Tulsa Community College. Carol is widowed with two grown daughters.
