Why We Exist
Our mission: We exist to equip people to believe in God, belong to God’s family, and bless God’s world.
Before
He ascended to heaven, Jesus told His followers to make disciples: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NASB)
That is why Jesus created His church: to transform lives in Christ. The Bible calls this “discipleship.”
A definition of discipleship:Discipleship is the process by which people become loving and faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Let’s look at this more closely:
To fulfill this mission of making disciples, we believe that we must
assist people to be rightly related upward toward God, inward toward God’s family (the church), and outward toward God’s world.
